More power through iridium! The secret of the Iridium IX spark plug lies in the laser-welded iridium electrode. Due to its minimum diameter of only 0.6 mm, it bundles the ignition voltage, which improves combustion in all driving situations. This means that the engine runs absolutely smoothly and the motorcycle accelerates faster. The high-tech metal Iridim keeps the exact distance between the electrodes. This prevents misfiring.

The advantages of the Iridium IX spark plug at a glance:

- Immune to soot build-up: Soot build-up can occur with standard types if the bike is ridden in stop-and-go a lot and the motorcycle often idles. The Iridium IX material makes the difference: Electrical discharges are constantly taking place in its annular gap, which remove soot particles, even if the self-cleaning temperature of the spark plug has not yet been reached.
- Long service life: While with standard types, the distance between the Electrodes can enlarge over time and affect the quality of the ignition, the gap with iridium spark plugs remains constant over the entire service life. This is where the use of the precious metal pays off in the truest sense of the word.
- Because the center electrode is so thin, the spark plug draws less current from the ignition coil – both coil and battery are relieved. Maximum engine efficiency: The slim shape of the iridium center electrode ensures that more of the ignitable gas gets close to the spark. Combustion becomes more efficient, throttle response noticeably improves, consumption drops.
